It's time for the announcement a lot of you have been waiting for... EventList 0.9 is out for public testing! Yes, we have been saying “it is coming in EventList 0.9” when you suggested a new idea/feature. We know this has not been the most satisfying answer, but the result is hopefully worth the wait. The new features offered in Joomla 1.5 gave us the opportunity to re-factor the entire component, correct poor design decisions, improve the code quality and much more. Believe us when we say that nearly every line of code has changed! Before diving into further details we want to thank a few people. First of all thank's to all members of the EventList development team who worked so hard to make that possible, especially to Michael Spredemann and Nicholas Hudson-Ellis who kept an eye on the English translation and the help files and always came up with ideas and improvements during the internal testing phase. Spacial thank's to Peter Brouwers, the Dutch translator and Sami Haaranen, the Finnish translator, who put an tremendous amount of work into the improvement and completeness of the multi-language capabilities of EventList. Also we want to throw out “thank you” to the guys of the German Joomla IRC channel we forced to test EventList more than once. Also all others we forgot to mention who helped in this long energy consuming process.
