Friday, 25 January 2008 23:00 Finnish translation and scheduled Joomlacode downtime

Sami Haaranen, one of the guys behind joomlaportal.fi translated EventList 0.9 Alpha for all the finnish EventList users out there. Thank's again for your hard work Sami!

One important note for all the people out there who want to download EventList. Joomlacode.org, where our files are located, will be taken down for maintenance the next hours. The latest release is available at sourceforge.net.
Let's hope they will solve the issues and joomlacode will be much more reliable in future.

Two months ago I wrote about some problems we had with Joomlacode. The situation is sadly still the same. The downloads aren't working reliable and we receive every day over and over again the same complains by email and in the forums. We hope we have now a solution. Additional to Joomlacode we now use also the sourceforge file release system for the new 0.9 series. Until we can incorporate this mirror into our download section you can access the files over this link:

After four development test releases we are happy to announce the release of EventList 0.9 Alpha a native Joomla! 1.5 component. A tremendous amount of work and time was spend to make this happen. Thank's to all who helped us coding, translating, supporting and testing. We hope you enjoy it. EventList 0.9 is currently translated fully into english and german. Finnish, French, Dutch and Spanish are still work in progress. If you want to help out just mail us, we are happy to assist.
Together with the release of the Component the new search plugin and latest events module are made public.

The first RC of the EventList 0.8.11 to 0.9 migration plugins are available now.
