  • Another step in the EventList development toward's a stable release we were also able to take. EventList switched from valid XHTML transitional to valid XHTML strict.

We also cleaned up the search plugin code and did some bugfixing. The Latest Events Module code got also some attention. We were also happy to release the already in the Demo showcased EventList Wide Module. It has some interesting new features, check it out if your template has the needed extra wide module positions.

Note that all language packs got updated also. Make sure you take care of this.

A summary

  • Friday, 07 March 2008 22:54

The last few weeks were some busy ones for us. We concentrated all our efforts into building the new project page to fit the changed situation better we experience. EventList seems to get more and more popular and we needed to react and ensure that we can handle this. It's obvious that we will hit one time the magic number of posts in the forums when we will not be able anymore to answer nearly every question. Cause of this we implemented the new FAQ area to make it easier for you to be involved. You could solve a problem, maybe with the help of other forum members? Take 5 minutes of your time and file it in the FAQ. This will help others experience the same problems and us to improve the component when we know that and where difficulties exist.

Another fact which was very surprising is the amount of translations for EventList 0.9 done since release. We never expected that. Currently EventList 0.9 is translated into 9 different languages and some more will come soon. Time to give some credits to the translators we wasn't able to mention in the last time:

  • Hungarian: Last Gepida
  • Hebrew: Shlomi Zadok
  • French: Stephan Neubauer
  • Finnish: Sami Haaranen
  • Dutch: Dennis Visschers
  • Czech: Jiri Vlasak
  • Brazilian-Portuguese: Tacio Philip

Thanks to all of you for sharing your work with all the other EventList users speaking your language.

Have fun using EventList
